The Royal Doulton Large Character Jug The Piper (D6918) is a striking and culturally rich piece, blending expert craftsmanship with Scotland’s proud military heritage. The design is inspired by a piper from the Gordon Highlanders, one of Scotland’s most distinguished military regiments. Founded in 1881, the Gordon Highlanders became renowned for their bravery in battle and their distinctive Highland dress. The jug features a piper with a full black feathered bonnet with white feather detail. Stanley James Taylor piper has a strong, proud expression befitting a representative of such a storied regiment.
